Today I have something so delicious and mouthwatering to share with you, even my taste buds are fired up as I type. Do you love chocolate? I sure do and what better way to eat chocolate than when it is melted and dipable (is that even a word?). One of my sponsors who is a consultant for Scentsy, and also now for Scentsy’s new product line Velata, sent a fondue warmer to me that is heated by only a light bulb similar to their wickless candle warmers. I also received three bags of chocolate to try out as well: two of the milk chocolate and a bag of white chocolate.
This past weekend I told my kids that if they took their naps and behaved that I had a surprise in store for them. My kids LOVE chocolate and are given it only as a reward. So, when they learned mommy was going to let them dip cookies, marshmallows, and fruit into melted milk chocolate I got high fives and ear piercing girly screams. Yes, my kids love chocolate that much!
The set up is easy. You simply take the warmer (my warmer is from the
Curve Collection, and I love the bright blue colored trim on my white porcelain warmer) out of the box and unwrap it all. Screw in the light bulb and plug in the warmer. Make sure you wash the silicon bowl with warm soapy water and hand dry it. Once everything is plugged in and clean, turn on your warmer to warm the bowl. Take the package of chocolate and place it in your microwave for only one minute and kneed the chocolate. Open up your package and squeeze out the chocolate into the nicely warmed bowl.
I had the milk chocolate in my warmer, but Velata carries white, dark, and caramel milk chocolate too. Four fondue forks come with your warmer, but my kids did not use them.
Instead they dug into the chocolate with yummy strawberries, gluten free vanilla wafers, marshmallows, and bananas.
My family loved this special treat and the quality time spent together over delicious milk chocolate and yummy gluten free treats.
Velata is perfect in so many ways. I did not worry that my kids would get burnt. The silicon bowl washes up easily and you can also freeze it with the leftover chocolate still inside for another fun fondue party at a later date.
Velata’s chocolates are made in a peanut and gluten free factory, and the dark chocolate is dairy free as well.
The Velata fondue warmers are great for special family nights, birthdays, Friday night coffee’s in college dorm rooms, and any upcoming holiday parties. If you have more than one warmer you can have more than one type of chocolate going at a time.
