I have many
people in my life for whom I am thankful, but one person who
has always been an inspiration to me throughout my life is my father Steve. I remember long walks with him in the desert trying to catch lizards, the hours spent digging for quartz crystals, or sitting just fishing. Some of my most favorite memories are related to my dad’s ability to bring a story to life.
My dad is an amazing story teller, and I have had the pleasure to listen to many nail-biting adventures. Many of his stories are real life experiences he experienced growing up. My father born at the beginning of World War II, and he remembers still the dreaded dark nights without electricity when they lived in California. He grew up on a dairy farm with his mother, father and younger brothers. In his life, he was a politician, preached from the pulpit, and bought and sold real estate. By far, however, his greatest accomplishment was, and still is, raising seven girls. Luckily, these days he finds the bathroom more available!
He currently lives in the West where the sage brush and rocks make the landscape and the sunsets are breathtaking. He takes daily walks with his dog Kojak, and stays busy as a real estate developer. He is now, as of a few weeks ago, the proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren.

My father writes in his spare time, and has created several stories I would like to share with my readers of this blog. Someday he hopes to have his own web page he calls Tenderfoot Tales. Every Friday, as long as he feels like writing, I will post another story for him on my blog. I hope you enjoy the stories as much as I do, and please send him your comments.
